Football Team’s ‘Unwavering Work Ethic’ Kick Starts the Season
October 14, 2015
The Wayne Hills Football team is back on track and stronger than ever! Bouncing back after a tough season last year, Head Coach Wayne Demikoff has driven his team to become a more aggressive and versatile group of men. Recently, Hills has won two straight games with a combined total of 100 points! After steamrolling their opponents, Wayne Hills tries to remain focused with a dominant attitude.
Starting off the year strong, the coaches at Wayne Hills have done an excellent job preparing the team for what’s to come. “We’ve approached this season, starting in the weight room last december, with a blue-collar mentality and an unwavering work ethic” said senior captain Frank Petracco. Hills has a very strict daily routine that they must follow in order to achieve their goals. “The outcome of the games, and even the season, will reflect on how hard we truly worked together as a team,” stated Petracco. Moving forward into the season, the team must keep their head on a swivel to live up to their expectations.
When you score nearly a season’s worth of points in two games, such success can change a team’s perspective. Senior quarterback Tom Skiba had mentioned that “it is very important that we do not settle for less this year. Our main goal as a team is to get better everyday.” Going forward into the season, Hills has been severely dedicated towards working out both on and off the field. “If we continue to give it our all in practice day in and day out without slowing down, we can bring back what belongs here at Wayne Hills.” With a winning streak on the line, Wayne Hills continues to move forward to willingly reach their goals.
