Greenberry’s  on Berdan Ave located in Wayne NJ closed its doors in early August, and is now being replaced by The Fine Grind Cafe. The Fine Grind is not the average coffee bar.It is a place gather, a place to relax, a place where you know everyone and everyone knows you. The Fine Grind  also has refreshing frozen drinks such as smoothies, dream shakes, and java shakes as well as food appropriate for all times of the day. The Fine Grind is also well known for holding open mic nights if you say $5 you can get a chance to go up on their stage and display your musical talents.

Although The Fine Grind is a great place, people will miss Greenberry’s.

“I walked there with all of my volleyball friends after our games since Freshman year. I’m going to miss it, it won’t be the same,” says Junior Jenna Luchinsky when asked how often she attended Greenberrys.

Greenberry’s has been open since 2010.  It started with two employees and then branched out into a business that all residents of Wayne will miss.

“Everyone that worked there was really friendly and extremely complimented when I went and sang at their open mic event last spring,” says Junior Monica Borsella.

Although people had good memories at Greenberry’s the past six years they have been open, Wayne citizens seem to be looking forward to a new hangout spot opening in their town.
