Hills Ranks 56th in State and 250th in the Country

WHHS is just an average high school with your average teens, said no one ever. In a study recently conducted by New Jersey Monthly, it becomes apparent how much WHHS has flourished as an academic and social community.

WHHS is actually a thriving place for kids to learn and embrace their personality whether they’re involved in sports, clubs, drama, etc. The school, currently ranked at No. 250 in the country and No. 56 in the state,  is not only recognized for its extracurricular activities, but also for its  outstanding academics and numerical deposition.  Wayne Valley, the neighboring school, has a friendly competition with Wayne Hills in sports and extracurricular clubs such as SDA. Wayne Valley is unranked in the National Standards as of 2016.

Christina Ventimiglia, a WHHS alumni and assistant principal, has expressed that there has been a great deal of progression in student body spirit and academic upheaval.

The state test PARCC is used to measure our standards compared to other schools in the country. “This past year with PARCC, all grade levels, specifically in English, saw a significant increase in scores,” said Ventimiglia.
