Details of Prince’s Sudden Death

Among fans, questions continue to circulate about the pop legend and American icon, Prince’s, untimely death.

The artist was pronounced dead on April 21, 2016, in Minnesota. Although Prince had the reputation of a clean, drugless life, new investigations shed light on what might have been a drug-related death.

The official autopsy has not yet been released. However, Prince’s death is being tied to prescription drugs. His body showed signs of drug poisoning, and according to law enforcement, Prince had prescription drugs on him and at his residence during the time of his death.

“Given Prince’s prior history of drug use, his death is really a tragedy. As such an American icon, who was thought to live a clean life, it is so devastating to know that he struggled with such pain that eventually led to his death,” said Sarah Mazer, senior.

Prince was known to be in need of a double hip replacement but refused to get an operation done because he would need a blood transfusion, which is something that the Jehovah’s Witness does not believe in. Prince became addicted to Opioids, which helped him manage the pain.

On April 15th, Prince’s aircraft made an emergency stop when he was found unconscious. While on the tarmac, first responders gave the pop star an antidote for suspected opioid overdose. One strong possibility is Percocet or another acetaminophen.

The day before his death, prominent Californian doctor and addiction specialist, Howard Kornfeld, was called in to meet with the star. Kornfeld could not make it, so he sent his son, Andrew, on his behalf to connect Prince with a local doctor. Andrew and two of his staff members found Prince dead in his house elevator the next morning.

Fans, till this day, still continue to wait for an official autopsy to be released.
