Zayn’s New Solo Career is Rising
March 17, 2016
Zayn struggled enormously to put his career on track after leaving One Direction. From the beginning, Zayn had always wanted to be a solo artist but put those dreams on hold when because of how successful 1D had become.
Songs and remixes were being released by people who claimed to be him. Then it was rumored that Malik was not allowed to release solo music for another two years for legal reasons. Zayn dissed Naughty Boy, a producer who was working with One Direction after Zayn left, by making a “fat joke.” He also got into a twitter fight with former band member, Louis Tomlinson. That did not go over well with 1D fans. He also recently broke it off with his former fiancee, Perri Edwards and is now allegedly dating Gigi Hadid. Both professionally, and personally his life has changed drastically.
However, his career is looking up. He signed to Turn First Artists management and RCA Records, and since released a new hit called “Pillowtalk,” landing at number one on the Vodafone Big Top 40 with this song. He just released his tracklist for his new album “Mind of Mine.”with these songs:
‘Mind Of Mind’ (Intro)
‘Pillowtalk’
‘It’s You’
‘Befour’
‘She’
‘Drunk’
‘INTERMISSION: Flower’
‘Rear View’
‘Wrong’ Feat. Kehlani
‘Fool For You’
‘Borderz’
‘Truth’
‘Lucozade’
‘Tio’
‘Blue’
‘Bright’
‘Like I Would’
‘She Don’t Love Me’
“As a One Direction Fan I was really angry he left in the middle of their tour. It was really unfair to all of the One Direction fans that have never seen them perform before, especially after paying so much money to see them. Besides that, I am happy for him. I know he was never truly into One Direction and being restricted from what he really wanted to do. All the members of One Direction who tried out on X factor originally came as solo artists. Zayn was just the first to finally go after what he truly wanted. I’m really excited to hear the rest of his album, which comes out the 25th of this month. People will finally realize how talented he really is,” says Senior and Number One fan, Rachel Mrocka.
