Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard and Soft” album

Thousands of people around the world enjoy watching the Grammys every year, but after watching this year’s ceremony, many have questions. Beyonce won the award for Best Country Album and many people around the world do not believe she earned it. There has been speculation for awhile now about scandals Beyonce is involved with and deceiving things she has done.

When it comes to the other nominees that did not win, people are more upset. Many believe Billie Eilish put everything she had into her album “Hit me Hard and Soft” and her song “Birds of a Feather” which were both nominees in this year’s Grammys.

When people at Wayne Hills High School were asked for their opinions on this year’s turnout at the Grammys, many gave a similar answers and were upset that Billie Eilish left with zero Grammys. Freshman Mia Spano had a lot to say about one of her favorite artists leaving empty handed: “The Grammys honestly feel rigged after Billie Eilish did not win.”

In Mia’s opinion, Billie Eilish deserves every Grammy that she was nominated for, but she’s more upset at the fact that Beyonce made one song that was popular for 2 months while Billie Eilish has created multiple albums that people love and she did not win a single Grammy. Mia does not think Beyonce deserved that Grammy at all.

This is just one example of how much people love and care about their favorite artist and how passionate one can be about someone they know worked so hard and whose music spoke to them so much and they get nothing in return. Many expressed similar if not as passionate responses about some artists leaving empty handed. This shows how much music helps a teenager or anyone for that matter through life and how anyone would love to see his or her favorite artist praised for his or her work. The Grammys has always been a controversial topic and 2025’s ceremony has been the talk of the school this year.
