Jenna Huynh, a junior at Wayne Hills, is excited to follow her passion for art when she graduates. She wants to go to Laguna College of Art and Design in Southern California to major in game art. She hopes to achieve her dream job of becoming an artist for video game companies and working in character design and concept art. She currently takes Advanced Drawing and Painting class and Graphic Design at school as preparation. Jenna goes on yearly trips to California with her family and feels like she is meant to be there.
After school, Jenna does Student Dance Association, musical theatre, volleyball management, Graphic Design Club, student council, and much more. Jenna loves to be involved in as many things as possible in school and always has a full schedule. She puts passion into all of the activities she does and strives to better herself in everything. Although she doesn’t have much free time she likes to spend it with her friends. She has about 20 very close friends but her two best friends are Sadie Valencia and Clara Kim. Clara says that Jenna is “fun and always energetic but can also be serious.” Jenna thinks that Clara is “Very nice, studious, and down to earth. She gives good advice and a listening ear.” She says that Sadie is just like her in being “very funny and logical yet delusional.”
Jenna has always lived in Wayne and had a wonderful childhood with her sisters. Jenna says “My childhood was very fun and I had amazing people surrounding me. I’m very lucky to be able to say that my childhood made me the person I am today.”
She has been doing art since pre-school and her passion has always been supported by her friends and family. She is especially inspired by her sisters and her role model, Jenny Choi. Jenny Choi graduated from Wayne Hills in 2023 and she has a lot of things in common with Jenna. Jenny was also very involved in art, graphic design, and volleyball so Jenna looks up to her. She is who she is because of her role models and people who supported her throughout her childhood.
High school is definitely not like the movies she used to watch. However, she has had a very positive experience at Wayne Hills. She never imagined she could have so many friends who love and care for her. She is grateful for the experiences and opportunities she gets every day. Jenna tries to be a very positive person so something that people may not know about her is that she has a lot of bad days just like everyone else. Over the past five years, she has grown to be very confident and social. She no longer cares what others think of her and she is more open-minded.
Jenna is someone who lights up the room when she walks in. She will always boost your mood and try to make everything more positive. She easily adventures to learn new things and is a very supportive friend. She is great to be around and everyone should get to know Jenna!
