With this year’s winter being especially cold, many people are wishing it was the warm, summer season again.
January is one of the coldest months and not everybody’s favorite. Many people hate to see the cold winter come and soak up every last bit of summer that is left, and as the temperatures continue to drop, people become even more sad. It is proven that seasonal depression affects so many people, and during cold times, many long for the spring and summer seasons to come.
After talking to a handful of students at Wayne Hills, it is evident that people feel differently as the weather gets colder and colder. Despite this, it is safe to say that the majority of Wayne Hills students feel that winter is one of, if not the worst, season. Freshman student Mia Spano shared her view on winter, saying that despite the fact that her birthday falls in January, she still seems to hate this especially chilly season. She said, “I do not know how people can find the freezing cold to be something that they look forward to. The days get shorter but feel so much longer.”
Although this is just one student’s opinion, it is a pretty common one nontheless; however, after asking around more, it became clear that some students share different views. Freshman Basil Estime shared a different and rather unpopular opinion on the winter season, saying that “the cold is a lot better than the summer and there is so much more to do when it’s cold.”
Evidently, people share different opinions regarding which season is the best and whether or not these freezing temperatures are too much to handle.
