Halloween brought a wave of creativity to our school. Walking around all the different classrooms, and seeing teachers and students showcasing their creative sides showed the dedication people have for this holiday. Being given the freedom to be allowed to dress up as whatever you want is so exciting. It’s an opportunity for students to express themselves, and allowing students to show their individuality
As we interview students, we hear about all of the out-of-the-box costumes, and even some old costumes being brought back this year. One of our favorite costumes was done by Junior Armond Rizzmani. He and his friends were extremely excited about these costumes. He tells us,“We’re dressing up as penguins from Madagascar and minions. Zach Kubosok was Gru.” Doing group costumes with a group of friends is always something students look forward to.
We then talked to other students who decided to be simpler this year. Junior Phoebe Link tells us, “This Halloween I’m going to go basic and be a vampire. I’m excited to hang out with all my friends.” This costume has always been very popular, although it’s fun creating your own. There’s no protocol you have to follow you can just choose your clothes and add some blood to your neck and boom, vampire right there.
