Every year, we expect to see a prisoner, a pirate, or even a mermaid walking down the halls of Wayne Hills, well, not literally, but we never really do. The lack of Halloween spirit at Wayne Hills is surprising to say the least. Hills is usually pretty peppy when it comes to dressing up to show some spirit. But, when it comes to Halloween, no one ever does too much.
I went around and asked students if they thought Wayne Hills should show more spirit on Halloween, Senior Amanda Kneis, said, “Yes I think it would be so fun if all the students and staff dressed up.” As you can see, some Hills students believe that celebrating Halloween can be a fun way to let loose and have fun during the school day. On the other hand, some people don’t fully like the idea of dressing up during school. Senior, Sydney Heltzer, says “I don’t know, it could be a little bit childish to dress up at school.”
The increase of costumes and celebrations at Wayne hills could lift the moods and brighten many students’ days while they are at school on Halloween. I asked some Hills Students if they had any ideas on what they could do to show some more spirit in the halls of Hills. Michael Brogna, a Wayne Hills senior, said, “We should have a costume competition on Halloween and the best costume wins an award or prize.”
As you can see, most students think this would be a great ide and celebrating Halloween at Wayne Hills can be a blast and let everyone show off their Spirit!
