Indiana Principal Sacrifices her Life for Students

Susan Jordan, beloved Principal of Amy Beverland Elementary School in Indiana, was tragically killed in a bus crash Tuesday January 27 at approximately 2:45 pm in front of the school building. Jordan was outside with many students, when a bus suddenly jolted forward, jumping the curb. The Principal of 22 years quickly through herself in front of several students, sacrificing her life. Two ten year old students were seriously injured, however are now in stable condition. Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene. The wreck is still fresh to students, and comes as a shock, reaching people as far as New Jersey. “Jordan really embodies what it is to be a leader, sacrificing herself for her students. She is a hero,” said WHHS Senior Giovanna Minervini when she heard of the accident.
The police are currently investigating the accident, and it is unclear yet if the bus driver (an unidentified woman) will be criminally charged. The school district was not in session the following day, giving staff and students an opportunity to mourn their beloved Principal.
