Johnny Depp & Amber Heard Defamation Trial

In 2015, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard got married and in 2016 they split due to domestic violence allegations. The pair did not have much interaction with each other until 2018, when Heard posted an op-ed about her representing domestic violence victims in regards to Depp. Depp sued Heard for 50 million dollars and she responded by suing him for 100 million dollars. The trail for three intense months was live streamed. Thousands of people came out in support of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard was faced with a wave of pure hatred. 

Kanye West

     If anyone knows what a good scandal is, it’s Kanye West. Starting towards the beginning of the year, Ye posted controversial content on social media which led to multiple platforms banning him. During Paris Fashion Week he wore a “White Lives Matter ” shirt and then later the same week he tweeted anti-Semetic tweets on twitter. Instagram banned Ye and so he took to twitter to claim that Jewish people were controlling Diddy. Ye was dropped by his talent agency, his brand partnerships, and was also called out by many celebrities and influential people. 

Will Smith & Chris Rock Slapping Incident

     For anyone watching the Oscars, it is a very entertaining night. But no one expected things to get ugly and out of hand. After Chris Rock had made a joke, Will Smith did not like what was told and slapped him across the face. Will Smith ruined his entire life and career in the span of 5 minutes. Everyone was in total shock for what he did. For his consequences Will Smith is not allowed to attend the Oscars for the next 10 years.

Shakira Tax Fraud

The loved and innocent Shakira shocked the world when she was being accused of fraud. Shakira has been accused of tax fraud of $14.7 billion dollars and could be sentenced for 8 years. She obtained a tax residency in the Bahamas from 2011 to 2015, as she is living in Spain. This is all according to the Spanish Prosecutors office. Shakira was found to be innocent and won’t have to serve an 8 year sentence. She also said that she will not accept an agreement with the justice offices.

James Corden vs Balthazar

Keith Mcnally, the owner of Balthazar, posted on Instagram this past October that James Corden was extremely rude to his staff. Corden freaked out on the staff of this very popular restaurant due to the fact that they got his wife’s order wrong multiple times. He claims that he was angry in the heat of the moment and made a rude comment about cooking the meal for his wife instead since the staff couldn’t get it right. After Mcnally made the post about Corden’s behavior, people were outraged and began posting awful things about him on social media. Corden made a public apology to both the staff and Mcnally, and tensions simmered down.
