Students at the Car wash

This past Saturday, June 4th, the Wayne Hills National Honors Society hosted its very own car wash at the Town Hall Center on Valley Road. The students charged $5.00 per car. All proceeds were donated directly to the Sivolella Family and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The NHS raised over $1,300 in just 5 hours.

The warm and sunny day brought many people to get their cars washed in support of Rocco and an amazing cause. Students working the car wash wore orange in memory of Rocco.

Senior Eunho Jung, President of NHS, says “The car wash was a great way for everybody to come together and support a local Wayne family after such a devastating loss. We are so thankful for everyone that came out and got their cars washed.”

With the Farmers Market being right next to the wash, many customers were able to come by after buying their goods. Anthony Franco’s Pizza was also nice enough to donate pies to the students working.
