Valentine’s Day Candy Grams; Sweet and Pure

By Chloe Levy and Jackie Sauer

Valentine’s Day at Wayne Hills High School is made all the more interesting by the candy grams sold by the student council.

Candy grams are pieces of candy tied together with a string and a kind note to someone you care about.

Freshman Student Council Representative, Blake Nisenson, said, “We made them and put them in mailboxes. It wasn’t that hard.”

Students could send a candy gram for the low cost of one dollar each, a low price to pay to make someone’s day.

Love is in full bloom during this time of year. Love is a beautiful and powerful emotion, making this such an important time of year for so many. Many people fell in love on Valentines Day or met the person they would soon marry. Love gives hope which is something we could all use right now. These candy grams show young love in full bloom.

Freshman Stephanie Tulpan said “I think they’re a very cute and a classic way to celebrate Valentine’s day.”

Young love is fragile and pure so what better way to show it than candy.

Freshman Molly Strauss said, “I think they are a good idea in expressing emotion to people in a sweet way.”

Candy and love, two of life’s sweetest joys.
