Lindsay Lohan is Officially Engaged
December 7, 2021
Lindsay Dee Lohan, 35 year old actress, singer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur, is officially engaged to Bader Shammas as of Sunday, November 28. She shares the exciting news by posting on Instagram pictures of the engagement, captioned “My love. My life. My family. My future.”
She’s best known for her TV acting, including her roles in Mean Girls as Cady, Freaky Friday (2003 remake) as Anna, The Parent Trap as two twin sisters, and several more. She also has developed several songs and albums, some specifically for TV productions, which includes her album Speak and those from Freaky Friday such as Ultimate.
Lohan has been through several relationships known to the public. Many of them stayed as good friends to her, such as That 70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama, restaurateur Harry Morton, and English DJ Samantha Ronson. She was also engaged to Egor Tarabasov, a young Russian real estate agent. However, several physical altercations arose that caused Lohan to break off their relationship, claiming he was abusive and violent.
These events included a beach controversy in 2016 on the Greek island of Mykonos, where Tarabasov had gotten too drunk and took Lohan’s phone; she then threw him out of their car on the beach. She ran out of the car when her fiance caught up, grabbing her arms and roughly twisting the behind her back. After incidents such as these, she knew she couldn’t stay in the relationship and separated.
Around this time she had moved to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in 2014, where she hoped to have what she called a “fresh start”and hide from stardom. This is where she met her present fiance Bader Shammas, a financer and assistant vice president at Credit Suisse. He was born in Kuwait City of the Persian Gulf country, gained a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of South Florida, and attended the University of Tampa for his Bachelor’s degree of Science in finance.
He proposed to her with a six-carrot custom-made diamond ring made by Harry Winston and worth around $250,000. It can be seen in the photos Lohan posted, where she’s cuddling with her fiance in matching black sweatshirts and showing off her ring.
After such a struggle for a happy relationship, several people are ecstatic that she’s found someone who cares about her. Emily Sawyer, a junior at Wayne Hills, finds the engagement great for Lohan. “I honestly am very happy for Lindsay!” She says. “She has been through a lot in her personal life and endured a lot in the acting industry and I think she deserves this bit of joy in her life. If this person will make her happier and a better version of herself then good for her!”
In the end, the most important aspect of a healthy relationship, like Emily mentions, is happiness, and it appears that both Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas are thrilled about moving up in their relationship.

I’m happy she found someone. She has had a lot of relationships that haven’t worked out, so hopefully this time it last. She deserves to be happy after everything she has gone through.
