Fox News Contributors Suspended
December 20, 2015
Fox New officials Stacey Dash and Ralph Peters were each hit with a two-week ban due to negative comments regarding President Barack Obama’s plan of destroying ISIS.
Their comments were profane and offensive to Obama supporters. Stacey Dash stated that she “doesn’t care” and Ralph Peters said that he is “scared of ISIS.” The two responded to their suspension by tweeting out their opinions about their suspension. Dash didn’t back down from her comments by stating “consequences. Some of us have to pay them. Gladly.”
Peters had more of an apologetic and conservative approach to this suspension tweeting, “let me publicly take this time to send my apologies to each and everyone offended. People tend to get offended by when you speak your mind and give your opinion,” said Ralph Peters.
Foul language is not allowed on any news network and if you speak profanely you will be punished effectively.
WHHS Freshman Galo Guerra thought that since it’s an adult network, people could handle the foul language if it’s making a point. “I think that they should allow the foul language because adults are hearing it. If it was Cartoon Network, then I would understand, but these are adults that are watching.” said Galo Guerra. At the current moment most television channels avoid improper language. It will stay that way until further attention is brought onto it.
