Jack Oseback qualifies for NJSIAA State Wrestling Championships

Sophomore Wrestler Jack Oseback qualified for the State Wrestling tournament to take place this weekend March 5,6, and 7 in Atlantic City. Oseback is the first to qualify for the State tournament from Wayne Hills since 2016.
Oseback is wrestling in the 132 weight class. This year Oseback stands at an individual record of 31-9. He placed first in this year’s Passaic County, first in the District Tournament. and finished top 4 in the Regional Tournament last weekend. to secure his spot for the State Tournament. Oseback says “I expect a big challenge this weekend being that I am an underclassmen with less experience.”
There will be wrestlers from 40 different schools competing this weekend in Atlantic City. The tournament is Thursday to Saturday and there will be 14 different champions, one from each weight class. Oseback is seeded 31st in his weight class and will take on Dylan Cedeno the 2nd seed from Bergen Catholic in the first round.
