Many people have been discussing Justin Bieber’s new album Purpose and the meaning that lies behind the music. Bieber’s new album is much more mature than his previous releases, but this emotional album still manages to carry amazing beats by Skrillex and Diplo. Purpose encaptures Bieber’s highest highs and lowest lows throughout his career. With Bieber releasing a more mature album, he has reached out to a bigger audience and is trying to show the world that he is still learning from his past mistakes.

“This album is amazing because it’s making people that weren’t fans before love Justin Bieber,” says Siena Petrie, a junior. Purpose was released on November 13th and has been a hit ever since. “Even walking down the halls I hear people talking about or singing his new songs,” says Petrie.

This album is emotional not only to Bieber, but to his fans as well. Before Purpose, Bieber had not released an album since Journals which debuted in late December of 2013. “Watching him grow up and make mistakes has made this album extremely special and worth the wait,” says Nicole Wilkins, a senior. Overall, critics, fans, and music lovers, have been responding extremely positively to Bieber’s new album beating One Direction in the first week of sales.
