Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile is a movie that Netflix has released based on Ted Bundy, one of the most famous American serial killers, and his girlfriend’s role in his demise.

Starring Lily Collins and Zac Efron, the film tracks the interviews and tapes of Bundy and the role that his girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, had in his future. For years, Kloepfer refused to believe that her boyfriend was a serial killer, and the film explores her mind and the ever so terrifying Ted Bundy in a unique perspective.

“I find a true crime to be extremely interesting. This film is a look into who Ted Bundy was, but not the way that I think would have been the easy way, which was to talk about the murders. It’s really from Liz’s perspective and gets deep into Bundy’s psyche and what it was like to lead two completely different lives,” said Zac Efron in an interview with Entertainment.

Many have said that Efron has captured the essence of Bundy and was the perfect person to play him. However, others have said that he is too good looking and it distracts from the fact that he was a murderer.

The movie has gotten mixed reviews from viewers, and many critics are saying the movie is “suprisingly forgettable.” It received a 57% on Rotten Tomatoes and seemed to disappoint, but it has caught many eyes throughout the school.

“I thought it was really good. I liked the cast and I thought they did a good job showing how evil Bundy really was. It was also very manipulating, and made me think,” said senior Morgan Ritsema.
