Wayne Hills Senior Louis D’Agati was selected for a $7,000 scholarship by the New Jersey Society of Public Accountants. This scholarship was awarded to 16 High School Seniors in the state who will be attending college in the fall.

Louis will attend The College of New Jersey in the fall of 2019 and major in accounting.

D’Agati said he was humbled by his receipt of the scholarship and thanked his Accounting teacher, Stephen Hill, for making him aware of the opportunity.

“I filled out an application, then wrote an essay, and based on the essay I was a finalist, and I then had to go for an interview,” D’Agati explained about the process.

D’Agati also had some great things to say about how the scholarship will set him up for a future career in accounting. He humbly talked about the scholarship, “it means everything for my future, because not only did I get the scholarship, but I also was assigned a mentor who will help with my future.”
