Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim Struck and Killed Man on Highway

Longtime legendary Syracuse University men’s basketball coach Jim Boeheim was involved in a fat car accident leaving one dead late wednesday night.
Boeheim was on his way home after a 20 point ‘Cuse win when he was forced to dodge a disabled vehicle on I-690 in Syracuse, New York. According to Syracuse police, the man’s car that was disabled was 51 year old Jorge Jimenez’. His car had been disabled due to an ice patch on the road that caused Jimenez to crash. As Boeheim approached the car to swerve out of the way, is when the fatality of Jimenez happened.
Police say that Boeheim has been cooperating with the ongoing investigation but the early signs say that there will be no charges. Police chief Kenton T. Buckner says that “it was an accident in the purest form of the word.”
Junior college basketball enthusiast was asked if this tragic incident had changed his views he had on the Hall of Fame coach and he responded saying, “Not really. It was an accident where he was swerving out of the way to avoid an accident and then he killed someone. Everyone makes mistakes and it wasn’t intentional.”
