Spend a ‘Night at the Library’ with SDA This Weekend

The first SDA show is tonight at 7 pm. Both sides are overflowing with excitement but with that, evidently comes anxiousness.

“I am so nervous but excited to perform with my team cause we’ve bonded so much throughout the season and dance my heart out with my new family,” Sophomore Gianna Dandino, on the white side, stated.

The dancers have been practicing for weeks on end and it’s finally time for them to show off their skills.

“SDA is looking outstanding, thanks to our amazing captains and Overall Liv Alboher,” exclaimed Sophomore Dia Ciccone on the maroon side.

Their shows are on February 21st and 22nd at 7 pm and their final show is on the 23rd at 6 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door for $12 per person. The overall theme of the night is “A night at the library” and although the theme does not scream exhilaration, both maroon and white promise that they will keep you on the edge of your seat.

With all this prep, the many students involved in SDA are quite annoyed by the early dismissal on Wednesday the day before the first show, certainly putting a wrinkle in the plans.

“I think it’s a really big inconvenience because we have spent so much time and hard work on this show and it’s annoying to be missing a really important dress rehearsal,” says White Pom Captain Bella DiCarlo.

Because of the early dismissal, the final dress rehearsal will take place on Thursday, the morning of the first show.

Regardless of this inconvenience, both team’s hard work and dedication will certainly pay off and SDA will be a show that you do not want to miss.
