It is undeniable that the boys basketball team has really got their heads in the game this season. Currently they are 9-1, only letting one game slip during their Holiday Tournament.

On Tuesday, January 12 they won against Wayne Valley with a score of 54-49. There was yet again another win for WHHS at Morris Knolls on Thursday, January 14, with an ending score of 59-46. Next, on Tuesday, January 19 the team played against Paterson Eastside and won with a score of 44-39. Dorian Hodge scored 10 points, while Joe Kenny scored eight points and 14 rebounds, bringing Wayne Hills to 9-1 on the season.

The team will have to continue with their hard work in order to secure a high spot in the county tournament and qualify for the state tournament. “It’s due to the hard work we’ve put in. The important thing moving forward is to understand that the hard work doesn’t end, it just gets harder and really has just begun,” says head coach Kevin Grimes.
