The Wayne Hills band led by Mr. Paterno has been practicing many holiday songs to perform at the Winter Community Concert.

As the holiday approaches, the WHHS band is looking forward to performing festive music to get everyone into the holiday spirit.

“This concert is for the community and bringing everyone together with our music pieces. The students have been preparing nicely for this great event. This also gives opportunities for my students to give something to others for the holidays. We have another performance tomorrow in the evening where we will have some special performing sections like the low brass. The holidays is a great time to connect our festive feeling audience with our music.”

“I’m excited. It’s a good chance to play music in front of everyone and expose people to instrumental music,” commented Junior Alex Vallarta.

Vallarta isn’t the only performer excited for the show. “The purpose is just to play fun holiday songs for the community and bring everyone together with music,” expressed another performer, Senior James Nelson.

Come out to support the band on December 17 during the school day from 12:00pm-2:00pm and on Tuesday, December 18 during 7:00pm-9:00pm in the auditorium.
