Former First Lady Barbara Bush dies at 92

Recently, the Former First Lady Barbara Bush unfortunately died at the Age of 92 due to COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Barbara Bush is the second woman in American history to have had a husband and a son elected President, Bush was seen as a plainspoken public figure who was quickly recognizable with her signature white hair and pearl necklaces. She started as the Second Lady of the U.S. in 1981-1989 when her Husband become the Vice President for President Ronald Reagan. She then became the first lady in 1989-1993. Barbra was a mother of six children, one of whom, a daughter named Robin, died as a child from leukemia. Barbara raised her family in the 1950s.
Mr Hill, a business teacher at Wayne Hills, said, “I had to actually look up what her First-Lady platform was. And I found out that her First-Lady platform was to fight illiteracy. And it was a shame I had to do that” Many celebrities, former first ladies, former Presidents, and current first lady and President have expressed their condolences to this tragic loss.
Barbara Bush was the husband of former VP and President George H.W. Bush, who is sadly in the ICU shortly after Barbara’s funeral. Throughout Barbara’s life as a First Lady, she promoted Literacy. She has created countess advertisements to inspire the young minds to read. Mrs. Del Moro a Wayne Hills English teacher and Journalism teacher said, “I have so much respect for Barbara Bush, she was a wonderful first lady and her dedication to her husband and children to the American people was exemplary.”
