Wayne Auto Students Build Bikes For Charity
February 3, 2018
For the past four years, the automotive students have had the opportunity to assemble bicycles for the less fortunate. This year, they made an impressive nine bicycles for children during the Holiday season. The bikes are paid for by the Wayne Education Association, which is the teacher’s union in the Wayne school system. “At the auto program at Wayne Hills, we love to give back to the people who are in need,” senior Antonio Zoino remarked. “A big plus of being in the Auto Programs is giving back to the community,” senior Mike Tirelle added. These selfless acts show how much WHHS students care about those who struggle in this world. Steve Hopper, the auto teacher, says, “Kids enjoy doing it because they are helping those less fortunate.”
