Although their season hasn’t started yet, the WHHS wrestling team is already preparing for a successful season. Coach Brian Basile has been preparing his team with multiple preseason practices, and speaks of high expectations. “Judging by how our teams pre season has been going, I think we are going to see a really positive outcome this year,” said Philip Mimmo, third year varsity member. Mimmo also expressed his excitement about seeing what the freshmen have to bring to the table. Anthony Gail, a freshman, said wrestling for WHHS was his  childhood fantasy. “I have always wanted to wrestle for Hills, and this year my time has finally come,” Gail explains. Wrestling team member Joseph Mongelli is hoping to end his sophomore year with a positive record and strives to make it out of districts. “I think we should be pretty good this year we have some stronger weight classes and some that we still have to work on but will make it through,” said Mongelli. The WHHS wrestling team seems to be destined to have a successful season.
